Childhood Dreams

I woke up one Saturday morning feeling like it was going to be a great day, and before I got out of bed I took my phone to check out some tweets and Instagram stories, then spent about an hour playing through a few levels of the latest hit game, Angry Investors, where you shoot entrepreneurs through a slingshot to try and hit Venture Capitalists and build your own company, and I managed to obtain around one thousand gems by finishing through those levels, and I felt like I had enough.

So I got out of bed, freshened myself up, had my breakfast, then sat at my desk and started playing Non-Fungible 3: The Wild Market, an open-world action-adventure MMORPG with a job system that allows me to take any role available in the world, like being a blacksmith, a farmer, a fisherman, a fighter, a- well, you get the idea. I was more of a fighter.

I started doing some quests across the beautiful, expansive world for a couple of hours, then went into a dungeon that was just above my recommended level to get some nice loot. Unfortunately, I got killed by the end boss because my equipment was too weak, so now I definitely have to upgrade my armor and weapons to take my revenge. I remembered that my friend specializes in blacksmithing and asked him to craft what I needed, and he graciously agreed. He did ask for the resources needed to craft them, and luckily, those resources are the gems that I had obtained from the first game I played this morning. So I whipped out my phone, launched Angry Investors, and transferred those gems to my account in Non-Fungible 3: The Wild Market. I gave them to my blacksmith friend, he crafted my new armor set and weapons, where I immediately equipped them and went straight towards the previous dungeon and defeated the boss!

I put the weapons, armor, and other valuable items obtained in that dungeon up for sale at an auction, and soon after, I received a message from my friend requesting my help in a raid in another game called Altcoin Online. I don’t play that game much so I didn’t have powerful gear on my character, but considering I now have great gear in the current game I’m playing, I decided to temporarily transfer them to my Altcoin Online account, wear them and fight with my friend to finish the raid. At the end of the raid, I obtained an extremely rare sword and decided to sell it for a decent price. The money I got was what I needed to finally buy a new GPU for my desktop PC.

This is a childhood dream we and many others had around the world. A dream that is so grand, where gamers connect not only through a single game they play but through games with interconnected ecosystems allowing ease of movement between each game’s universe. That grand dream is becoming a reality thanks to the introduction of blockchain technology that Satoshi Nakamoto brought to light with Bitcoin, and was then expanded upon via other cryptocurrency protocols that came after it.

Many game development studios and developers around the world are working on blockchain-based games with interconnectivity between other games in mind, and we’re standing to be at the forefront of these companies through our first game “Nifty Craft” and its supporting smart-contract tech dubbed “The Forge”.
