Master the Real-Time Combat

Instead of relying strictly on real-time or turn-based battles, Nifty Craft spices things up with its Active Time-based combat system. Imagine Pokemon battles, but instead of players waiting for turns, the events unfold in real-time as you manage your action points (they accumulate continuously throughout the fight) and study your opponent’s patterns to uncover the best approach to come out on top. In the end, you have to outwit your enemies by understanding when to block, when to dodge, and when to power through to overwhelm them with your bravery and strength.

Think of each clash as an exciting PVP arena battle in World of Warcraft mixed with Pokemon or Slay the Spire’s presentation.

To further illustrate how the combat system works, let’s go through a hypothetical sequence:

  • You’re waiting until you have enough action points to start a combo attack.

  • However, your opponent strikes first with “Burn,” a fire-based attack that deals 150 damage every second for five seconds.

  • After two seconds have passed, you use “Shield” to protect yourself from damage for the remaining three seconds.

  • You then start a counterattack by activating “Mighty Blow,” an attack buff that doubles your next move’s damage if it’s used within five seconds.

  • You attack with “Mighty Blow,” which deals a whopping 600 damage rather than the usual 300 thanks to the buff!

  • However, your enemy gained enough action points to trigger “Rock Solid,” which subtracts 100 damage points from any attack. Your “Mighty Blow” thus deals 500 damage.

This is the kind of quick and strategic combat you’ll need to perfect in order to survive in the world of Nifty Craft. Observe, plan, execute, adapt, and counter.
