Professions and Specializations

Whether you wish to become a valuable resource-gatherer or a master craftsman, there are multiple professions that you can choose from. You can choose whichever interests you most. Pick between mining, crafting, gathering, fighting, and more. Alternatively, you can decide to take the jack-of-all-trades route, not specializing in anything but instead spreading your skills across all professions.

An important reminder: No matter your choice, there’s always a trade-off. If you work toward becoming a master craftsman, you’ll be forced to seek help from other adventurers because your own mining, gathering, and/or fighting skills aren’t sufficient to get the resources needed to craft high-end items. However, the game is designed to allow you to become whatever you like—as long as you spend enough time progressing through your profession.

You get to decide how you’d like to experience the game and how you want to interact with others to reach your goals.
